What I recommend is starting with recommendations. Word of mouth advertising sounds old-fashioned but much of the time it's what works. Relying on a guy behind a camera to capture your big day requires trust, so in the end - find someone who does great work and someone who you can trust.

Planning a Wedding: Finding the Videographer
One of the most difficult things to figure out when planning a wedding is finding the right videographer. I would know. My wife of one year and I could've planned out the guest list and decorations in the time it took us going through video after video trying to find someone (preferably a videographer in the DC area that we didn't have to fly out) that we trusted with the responsibility of capturing the most important day of our life.
What I recommend is starting with recommendations. Word of mouth advertising sounds old-fashioned but much of the time it's what works. Relying on a guy behind a camera to capture your big day requires trust, so in the end - find someone who does great work and someone who you can trust.
