Wedding Videos: The Importance of Finding the Right Videographer

While wedding videographers are known to complain about the repetitious process that they generally go through every week, there are some that keep the game interesting. This is one thing that I always tell young couples to be on the lookout for when looking for the right videographer. Many people assume they're only holding the camera, which is a gross over-simplification. The videographer is the one who chooses how you remember your wedding, which is the biggest day of many people's lives. For this reason, I always suggest that you find someone who is a creative videographer - someone who has vision and isn't merely a technician. Do your homework and remember, you get choose who decides how your story is remembered.

Planning a Wedding: Finding the Videographer

One of the most difficult things to figure out when planning a wedding is finding the right videographer. I would know. My wife of one year and I could've planned out the guest list and decorations in the time it took us going through video after video trying to find someone (preferably a videographer in the DC area that we didn't have to fly out) that we trusted with the responsibility of capturing the most important day of our life.

What I recommend is starting with recommendations. Word of mouth advertising sounds old-fashioned but much of the time it's what works. Relying on a guy behind a camera to capture your big day requires trust, so in the end - find someone who does great work and someone who you can trust.

Great Wedding Videography: Adela & Razvan

Great wedding videography can be hard to find, and you only get one shot at it (pun very much intended) so it's worth taking your time to find the right person. We recently came across this video of Adela & Razvan's wedding and thought it really captured a great ceremony and reception. If you're someone looking for what you want in a wedding videographer, this is a great place to start. Knowing what you want is the most important thing.

Groom Breaks Out Magic Trick During First Dance

It seems the world has been captivated by weddings lately and it's true, but while you may feel like you've seen it all, this story is one for the record books!

At their wedding, magician Justin Willman and his bride Jillian Sipkins pulled out all the stops and performed a pretty impressive magic trick during their first dance which has since gone viral and has been seen over 8 million times (as of this writing) on YouTube alone! Impressive.

Looks cool, right? Well there's a video of the dance from the wedding so you'll get to see it all. According to one interview, the couple practiced for about a week and a half every day. Neither of them dancers, they seemed to really pull it off. See for yourself as one of the guests captured the whole dance.

Enjoy!

Oh, and if you're planning something like this for your wedding, make sure you get it on video, we'd love to see it!
